We are participating in an impact analysis project as a member of the COVID-19 Business Resources Working Group that is conducting a series of local business surveys.

University of Houston- Victoria

The University of Houston-Victoria  offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and professional certification programs in the fields of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Health Professions and Human Development. Established in 1973, UH-V offers accredited face-to-face and online courses leading to 70 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and concentrations.

University leaders have committed to invest in the Victoria campus footprint to meet the needs of a growing resident student population. More than $147MM of capital projects have been completed or are currently in progress at the local campus; new academic buildings including a dedicated STEM building, student center with modern library, and additional residential housing for students are just some of the most recent developments. In 2016, University officials revealed plans to continue the investment trend by announcing future building and improvement projects at the Victoria campus totaling more than $145MM.

The university and the programs offered are recognized as some of the best in the nation for excellence and affordability.

  • UH-V's School of Business Administration was recently named one of the Best 295 Business Schools by the Princeton Review.
  • UH-V tied for 12th in the 2017 U.S. News & World Report Best Ethnic Diversity list out of regional universities in the West.

The Small Business Development Center at UH-V offers assistance to new and start-up companies. UH-V is also home to the American Book Review literary journal and the UH-V / ABR reading series featuring nationally recognized writers on visits to the Victoria campus. Dalkey Archive Press, an internationally renowned nonprofit literary organization, moved its publishing operation to UH-V in August 2015. The press publishes about 60 books a year with an emphasis on translations from more than 50 countries.

The University of Houston-Victoria Spring 2020 enrollment is 4,378.
