The Victoria County Navigation District and Zinc Resources, LLC unanimously approved an agreement for a 25-acre lease on the new rail loop at the Port 's Victoria North Industrial Site.
Dallas, Texas — TNW Corporation (TNW), a privately held owner and operator of short line railroads and transportation logistics companies, has been selected by the Victoria County Navigation District (VCND) in Victoria, Texas to provide the Port of Victoria’s rail operations and co-develop a planned 3,000 acre multi-modal logistics facility.
The Victoria Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors has been asked to accept the resignation of President, Dale Fowler. Mr. Fowler stated, “It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of the VEDC team and I am very proud of our accomplishments over the years. Please accept my sincere appreciation for allowing me to lead the VEDC team for the past 20 years in our efforts to grow job opportunities and create new tax base for the community. While I will be moving on to a new opportunity, I hope to still be a part of the Victoria team when it comes to industrial projects and business recruitment.”
The VEDC Board will grant Mr. Fowler’s request with deep appreciation for his professionalism and steadfast work to the mission of the organization and economic development for more than two decades. He has successfully led the recruitment and expansions of major industrial businesses to Victoria resulting in a diversified and stronger economy for our community.
The good work that has brought us to this point will remain and the VEDC Board wishes to assure members and partners of their continued focus on advancing opportunities in economic development. The current staff including Operations Director, Sharon Barnard and Office Manager, Danielle Alvarez will remain diligent in working on new business recruitment and retention efforts as an executive search for the next President is conducted.
